It was almost a year after I had my last bike trip, the boredom had reached to its peak so I was willing to go out for a trek, it had just started raining heavily, and it was perfect time to go out and have some fun. So we planned our trip/trek to Rajgad the King of all fort's. The list of friends who finally agreed to come [even if many of them had some issues with the date] was Me[Parag], Hrishi, Yogesh [Yogi], Manya [Mahendra], Sachin, Shivaji [Raje], Amol [John], and his friend.

We had planned a night stay on Rajgad fort we all were very well prepared for the trip, we all had brought sleeping mats, food, and clothes and vessels and spices etc all packed in plastic bags to protect them from rain. On 1st of July we finally all met at Sahakarnagar after a long series of phone calls that was required for every one to know where every [other 1 ;)] one is waiting. We had not even started yet and it was a complete mess. Finally we all managed to get at one place and officially declared that now we are ready to set off. It was raining very heavily that day, we all were very positive about the thought that whether we will b able to climb fort in such heavy rain pouring from above. We stopped at Baneshwar for breakfast got Chicken Hundi and a bunch of butter rotis packed for the lunch on the way to fort or if possible on fort ;). By this time we all were looking like wet cat's, all were just talking about the size of rain drops that were hitting us from above like small stones. So now after having breakfast and enjoying some warmth of hotel we all started driving towards Rajgad, we were just 5 kms away from Rajgad when we came across a bridge which was totally covered with flooded water because of heavy rains. We all stopped and enjoyed at the dead end, some of our really courageous friends even thought of crossing that bridge at any cost but were later calmed down by the villagers standing there.

We all enjoyed for a short time there but as soon as we[actually some of us, :D others were just happy with the submerged bridge and water running over it.] realized that this is the dead end and we need to think of some other place now, as we were on the way to Satara we all agreed on going to Mahabaleshwar and staying there rather than going back home.
So we started our journey to Mahabaleshwar with the same enthusiasm that we showed for Rajgad. We crossed the ghat and were hurrying to reach our destination as now it was around 4pm and we still had a long distance to go. We all started riding our bikes at maximum possible speed. It was going all well till we realized that 2 of our bikes were not around and not even in focus, one of those bikes had some trouble and was not ready to start the engine :(, yogesh pulled it for around 5 km by tying 2 towels together and used it as rope. Finally that bike somehow managed to start after a series of trials by all of us without any fix though.
It was going to be dark soon and still we were far far away from mahabaleshwar. We all decided to go to my uncles farmhouse in Ozarde which was just 15 km away and stay there for night and visit mahabaleshwar the next day. So I called my uncle who was fortunately there at farm house, and told about our plan, he happily invited all of us for stay. :).
We had dinner and took rest for a while after that, everybody looked refreshed by this time. Next morning the rain had stopped and it was feeling very fresh, after having tea we all went to see Greenhouse and farm around, after that we decided to visit the Kaas lake and return back to Pune.
So we started our journey for Kaas Lake now. We went to Satara where we meet my friend Kedar, he also joined us from satara and came along with us to kaas lake. It was raining heavily again, but when we started ascending ghat for Bamnoli from satara we came across many beautiful and scenic places. All that we had suffered from last two days vanished from our minds when we came across those heart catching views. This place has its own beauty, it looks very beautiful when its raining and fog coming from mountain tops and covering landscapes around. We all went to Kaas lake spent some time there and started our journey back to pune. We reached pune around 8pm with our bones and teeths making that rattling noise because of cold. That was our first trip and it meant a lot to us, after all that was the start of the most adventurous and beautiful part of my life.
On the way we found.....
